Benches for the garden and balcony
The garden and balcony bench range offers distinctive seating that combines designed planters with practical, comfortable seating for outdoor spaces. Large planters, including those suited to trees and substantial planting, become made-to-measure benches that give a natural, warm and architectural place to sit on a patio, a balcony, in the garden or in outdoor hospitality areas.
Some of our containers are made with dedicated notches, so the wooden boards simply rest in place and the bench is ready quickly and easily. For an extra charge, fitted metal angles can be welded on as part of the container for a firmer, more precise fixing of the seat, according to the design and the intended use. The combination of metal and wood gives a clean, modern look that sits naturally outdoors.
The solutions suit a wide range of uses, from small seating corners on balconies to complete hospitality areas in gardens, courtyards and architectural projects. Using a planter as the base of a bench gives both rich planting and smart, space-saving seating, with sizes, finishes and types of wood matched to the space and the design you want.
Urban benches with planters
The urban bench-planter range is made to create green, pleasant and practical seating in the modern public realm. The systems combine large planters with seating around them, turning urban areas, plazas, squares, promenades and retail centres into more inviting places for community, meeting and lingering. The combination of planting, natural shade and public seating has in recent years become an important part of good urban design, especially where shade is needed in spaces with no ground to plant in.
The solutions use round, square or shaped containers in particularly large diameters, fitted with standard-compliant benches made exactly to the container's dimensions and perimeter. This creates shaded seating around trees and substantial planting even in paved areas with no natural soil available. The large planting volumes let trees develop healthily in the public realm, making a real contribution to climatic comfort, reducing heat load and giving people a more pleasant experience of the city.
The benches themselves are not welded to the containers. They come as a matching complementary system of metal frames and wooden boards made for public outdoor conditions. This way of working gives more flexibility in transport, maintenance and installation, along with a clean, architectural look. Assembly is done on site by anchoring and bolting the bench base to the paving, according to the plans and the needs of the project.
The systems suit urban projects, landscape architecture, public institutions, retail centres, hotels, lobbies, entrance plazas and community sites, giving a combined solution of seating, planting and shade as an integral part of the design of new public space.
