Garden equipment in general, and metal containers for planting (and/or for use with water) in particular, are exposed to the weather and to strong sun, and therefore need regular care and maintenance.

Following the maintenance rules and looking after the products you bought according to the instructions given here will extend the life of the product and let you enjoy it for many years.

Our products carry a one-year warranty under reasonable use only. The warranty applies to use of the container as a planter for direct planting.

The warranty is void where the containers have been altered in any way, including drilling holes, painting, use of chemicals and the like, or where they were ordered in sizes made specially for the customer.

The planters sold by URBAN RETRO GARDEN are garden and outdoor products. The colour of the containers may change with the weather and the passing of time, including rust or a change in the container's appearance.

1. General

The website URBAN RETRO GARDEN (“the site”), operated by Keyef (“the company”), serves as a catalogue and sales site for metal planting containers, paddling tubs, accompanying products for garden and home design, and additional services.

Purchasing on the site, or receiving an invoice that refers to this page, constitutes a declaration by the customer that he or she has read these terms, understood them and agreed to them, and that these terms form a binding contract between the customer and the company.

2. Product warranty

The warranty on products is given for one year, subject to reasonable use and to the instructions for use and maintenance:

The warranty covers material defects in the body of the product only, including leaks in containers, but does not include drainage and irrigation systems.
The warranty is void where the product has been altered, including drilling holes, painting, use of chemicals, or an order in custom sizes.
The colour of the containers may change over time because of the weather, including rust and cosmetic changes. This can be repaired and treated according to our instructions, available at any time from our customer service.
The warranty does not apply in cases of improper use, incorrect storage, faulty operation or the use of unsuitable fertilisers and irrigation.
The company accepts no liability for any damage caused by trees planted in containers falling in strong winds. It is the duty and responsibility of the customer and of the installers to tie the trees and anchor the containers, to prevent danger to passers-by and to people around the planters.
The company is not liable for any secondary damage to paving or to other materials and elements on a balcony caused by rust or by dripping water resulting from installation.
Where containers are used to grow vegetables, edible plants or herbs, the container must be sealed with a PVC liner to prevent possible migration of hazardous substances. Responsibility for growing vegetables in planting containers rests with the user alone.
It is the customer's responsibility to check the expected loads of planted containers on a balcony with a qualified professional.

3. Maintenance

Galvanised steel containers: keep a galvanising spray and treat damaged areas according to the instructions.
Painted containers: keep a bottle of matching paint and renew the paint as needed.
Containers used as a paddling tub (and therefore with chlorine): follow the installation and use instructions in this guide (PDF, Hebrew).
Containers used as an ice bath, hot tub or outdoor bath, including a cover, a chlorine-resistant inner liner, a heating or cooling system and more: see this guide (PDF, Hebrew).
Planting containers: we recommend sealing containers intended for planting with a bituminous paste, to protect the metal over time. Ask our customer service for the sealing and planter-preparation guidelines.

4. Purchase and payment

Purchases on the site are possible at any time, subject to stock.

Payment on the site is by credit card only, and a telephone purchase requires full payment in advance.
If an item is out of stock, the customer will be offered an alternative product, or cancellation of the transaction and a refund.
Prices include VAT as required by law.
The company reserves the right to stop marketing the products at any time and to refuse a purchase at its discretion.

5. Delivery

Products will be supplied within 14 business days of completion of payment.
For special painting, a delivery schedule will be set by prior arrangement.
The product will be delivered to the address given by the customer; the company is not responsible for delays outside its control.
The cost of delivery is not included in the product price and does not cover installation, planting or connection to irrigation systems.

6. Returns

Products may be returned within 14 business days, provided they have not been used and were not made to order.
A return requires the company's approval and prior arrangement.
The refund will be given less a cancellation fee of 5% or ₪100 (whichever is lower), except where the product is defective.
Delivery charges, painting and customisation are non-refundable.

7. Privacy

The company undertakes to protect its customers' privacy and will not pass personal information to third parties without consent.

Cookies are used for advertising and marketing purposes in accordance with security standards.

8. Intellectual property

All intellectual property rights in the site, including photographs, texts and graphic design, belong to the company and may not be used without written permission.

9. Law and jurisdiction

These terms shall be interpreted and enforced under Israeli law.

Exclusive jurisdiction lies with the courts of one of the following districts: Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Haifa, Jerusalem or Be'er Sheva.
